What is a Family Legacy Memoir Video?

Our videos are exactly like the names says, legacy memoirs. It’s your life’s story, history and memories told specifically by you. We capture your version of your life in a carefully edited into a video.

As we get engrossed into our day to day activities we forget about the history we’re making daily or have made. Those struggles we made it through and the accomplishments we forgot to celebrate. This business gives you that opportunity to talk naturally about your life. Our specialty, is to concentrate on the everyday person and allow you to tell your story the way you want it told.

My family isn’t sure about doing something like this?

Most of the people we’ve met have reservations about doing a life story, video tribute or family history video because it’s not common in the black and brown community. We’re trying to breakthrough to these communities by making these video services a common practice.

Is it a private session?

Privacy is a big factor when interviewing clients. We’ve found that with others being in the room folks can be more reserved. We ask for just the client to be in the room. We want each client to feel free to talk about whatever they would like. So, for privacy we provide a Non Disclosure Form (NDA) before filming.

What will I be asked to answer?

We will ask a variety of leading questions in the interview. Many of those are open ended which may lead to more question based the clients responses. We will ask if there are specific questions they want asked, or topics we should completely avoid.

Do you do research on your clients?

No, we hold no biases.

Do you narrate the video?

We remove our voice in order for the client to provide their own emotional experiences. However, with tiles, music and photos we are able to premier their story.

What measures do you take to keep “secrets” exactly that “a secret’?

We provide a NDA - Non Disclosure Agreement prior to filming.

How should I prepare for the video?

We provide a luxury experience with  a celebrity makeup artist and hairstylist prior to the appointment.
