Why did this mission begin?

Family Legacy Memoirs mission is to give people of color the space to memorialize their family legacy interpreted by them through their own experiences. People of color sometimes forget to reflect and document their own personal life story, special events, accomplishments, hurdles or family legacy. We became driven by this mission when my granddaughter asked her uncle “ Who is that lady in the heart shaped picture frame on the shelf?” She had no idea “that lady” was her great-great grandmother to whom was the matriarch and the soul of generations before her.

So, from that moment on in 2021 it became our mission to give people who are willing, the ability to document their legacy, life story, obituary, accomplishments and failures in a private and confidential setting. All these descriptions are narrated by you and cherished by your loved ones when your ready to share.
